Outlander season 3: See Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan’s World Outlander Day message
As a result of all of that, consider us a day late on sharing the latest World Outlander Day video from Sam and his co-star Caitriona Balfe, which was filmed all the way down in South Africa. Doesn’t the backdrop here look rather lush? This gives you a quick look at Jamie and Claire’s costumes, some things to look forward to (print shop!), and also a reminder that filming is that far from being wrapped up. It was weeks from whenever this video was taped — the only thing we know for certain is that filming is going to be wrapping in early June, which gives Heughan and Balfe a chance to do some other projects in between now and when the season 3 press tour starts up leading to the September launch.
Can you believe that filming is now only three months away? The Droughtlander may still be long, but hopefully everyone out there finds some ways to stay refreshed and engaged!
World Outlander Day (June 1) is the celebration of when the first Outlander book by Diana Gabaldon was made available. This particular day marked the 26th anniversary of the book being out there, and what more worthy a cause is there than this? This book changed the lives of many; without it, of course we’d have no show to discuss here at all! Starz releasing this video is further proof of what they do so effectively, and that is create almost continuous content around the year to ensure that fans of the show constantly have something to look forward to. They understand that Outlander is a community just as much as it is a series, and that’s something that should be catered to in order to ensure that your fan base stays as engaged as humanly possible.
