The Originals season 4 episode 10 spoilers: The Elijah quest
Daniel Gillies is directing the episode entitled “Phantomesque,” and judging from the sneak peek below narrated by executive producer Michael Narducci, this episode is going to be a fascinating, powerful character study that is all about Elijah’s history. You will learn more about what he did that was virtuous in nature, and then also some of the darker undertones that pervaded much of his life.
By the end of this episode, it may be fair to say that this gives you a fairly panoramic view of this character and how the entire Mikaelson family feels about him. In many ways, several regulars will do whatever they deem necessary to get him out of this predicament.
Beyond all of this, Narducci also previews in this video the return of Claire Holt (Rebekah) and Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol) to the series — news tends to travel fast within the world of vampires clearly, and what happened to Elijah is going to kick off a powerful story where they team up with Klaus in order to try and thwart The Hollow once and for all. Expect to see a good bit of them over the remainder of this season.
All in all, the four episodes ahead should be epic as the story continues to accelerate, and it builds towards something that should be nail-biting at the end. There’s no need to worry about The Originals, as the show was recently renewed for a fifth season by The CW. However, there may be something more to be concerned over in terms of the fate of many people within the cast. It’s already clear that nobody within the family or beyond is safe; there are also no guarantees that Elijah ends up freeing himself from the position of stasis that he does at present find himself in. Clearly, he’s going to need help, and maybe a little bit of luck to go along with it, as well.
