Ready for Nashville season 5 episode 13 to come on the air? Then you better be prepared to also see characters confronting issues. Over the past several months, it’s been reiterated in various interviews that the difficulties many characters faced in the past are not going to be ones that vanish once people start to move on. Whether it be a small trigger or a major one, there are chances for a crisis to strike at any moment.

For Juliette next week, the crisis and the trigger she is facing are both major: A performance that will generate plenty of eyeballs and attention. At one point in her career, this is something that she would have welcomed with open arms. However, this is a very different time now, and as a result of that, it’s going to lead to her being in the midst of a quandary.

Emotionally, this episode seems like a worthy one given that it marks the perfect crossover of present meets past. Characters will move forward, whereas others will need to face their past in order to do so. There will be moments of joy, but also moments of pain. Scarlett has to get a certain reveal off of her chest, and it may take a great degree of bravery in order to do so.

By the end of the episode, there will hopefully be enough indicators on where people are that you can project what the rest of the season could look like. A little bit of foresight when it comes to a show like Nashville certainly never hurts anyone. Yet, at the same time you do want to be surprised here and there along the way. The best series are those that establish that sort of healthy mix.
