America’s Got Talent: Darci Lynne, The Singing Trump go viral

Singing Trump

What are some of the most viral acts coming out of the America’s Got Talent premiere? It begins and almost ends with Darci Lynne!

At the time of this writing overnight, the young ventriloquist / singer managed to tabulate a whopping total of over 100 million views on Facebook alone! That is incredible, and it is almost ten times the number of people who actually watched the show when it aired live on NBC. This is a show that has managed over time to secure some really viral content over the years through the Facebook platform, and it shows just how massive the show’s reach is beyond just the live airings on the show.

AGT does not put full performances of all of their acts on their Facebook page in a featured capacity, but it should be noted that The Singing Trump also generated more than 5 million views on Facebook and then also an additional million-plus on the official YouTube alone since the end of the show. Were it not for there being such a wide array of Trump parodies out there already, the view count here would probably be higher. To be fair, this is the only one that sings Bruno Mars!

On YouTube itself, the show is featuring escape artist Demian Aditya, who now have more than 5 million views for his stunt from the premiere. Also worth noting is Puddles Pity Party generating more than a million himself. The show didn’t advertise his YouTube popularity on the audition episode, but we don’t see him performing with Postmodern Jukebox as some sort of hindrance on this show. It should only help him since he’s got a dedicated voting block who already knows and understands what his talent is.

Given that there are so many different factors that go into views on videos, whether it be the placement of them and so much more, it’s a little early to say that Darci is the runaway favorite because of her view count. Still, at present it’s pretty darn clear that she is the person to beat, and the person most viewers out there will be the most excited to see again.

Who do you think is the most likely to go far from the auditions earlier this week? Be sure to share in the comments below!
