Shadowhunters season 2 episode 11 spoilers: Sebastian, Izzy meet
If you’ve been desperate to check out a first-look at Will Tudor’s character of Sebastian in action, consider this your opportunity! The clip (via TVLine) offers you a chance to see Sebastian arrive from the London institute with some medicinal “help” for Izzy. He makes it clear that while he can help her in the moment, the effects of it may only be temporary. Therefore, she should be prepared for something similar to a cooling-off period coming sooner rather than later.
Things start to get a little bit more interesting when Izzy asks as to why Sebastian isn’t at the London institute anymore, and he offers a rather curious explanation as to why he left. She perceives what he says as something more akin to being AWOL. He, however, has a slightly different interpretation of things.
The best way, in the end, to describe this preview is as a worthy introduction to some of what makes Sebastian interesting as a character, and some of the reasons why some other people may have pause around him. He’s incredibly charming, so it’s certainly rather easy to see why anyone would start to get caught up in every single word that he utters.
It’s hard to say too much more on this character without giving away any book spoilers, but his presence will be incredibly significant for the entire back half of the season. You’ll get a chance to learn more about who he is, and also what he means to the rest of the characters on the show at the same time. Think of him as serving here a couple of different purposes. Also, odds are every character will be keeping him in mind before the story is over.
For the time being, though, let’s not get all that ahead of ourselves since the aftermath of the soul sword revelations in the winter finale will take center stage for what the show returns … at least at first.
