Arrow on Loose Women: Stephen Amell, John Barrowman delight (video)

Loose Women

Who knew that the British talk series Loose Women would be such a fun, ridiculous venue for Stephen Amell and John Barrowman?

The story goes here that Barrowman, who is certainly familiar with the series (think more The Talk than The View in terms of humor), invited his Arrow co-star to join him on the show today. What came as a result of that was a thrilling good time, and the sort of thing that nobody could have expected at this point one week ago.

Effectively, there are a couple of really good stories that come out of the interview.

Seeing the women on this show learn about what exactly Arrow is – There are a number of really fun interviews out there where you can actually learn a healthy amount of details regarding Arrow and the story coming up. here, it’s just amusing seeing people who really couldn’t be bothered with watching the show try to understand who Oliver Queen and Malcolm Merlyn are. Also, seeing them rib Barrowman about talking incessantly is entertaining in its own right.

The story of John’s recent birthday celebration – There is a famous photo out there of Amell helping to “celebrate” the party wearing a very specific article of clothing. Stephen learns the technical term for it in this interview, while John also recounts how Stephen’s pre-celebration routine led to him wrecking a part of his carpet.

There’s nothing of real substance in here, but hey — it’s Memorial Day Weekend and we’re just gearing up now for May sweeps. Why not just enjoy something that will get a laugh or two before going off to barbecue or celebrate the holiday?

One other important thing to note here is that this video could be viewed as a sort of farewell to Barrowman with the show, given that he will be departing prior to the start of season 6. Given that (spoiler alert) Malcolm was killed off during a landmine explosion in the season 5 finale (which was rather great by and large, though his death felt incredibly rushed), you won’t be seeing too much more of them together onscreen in the immediate future.

If you missed it, Barrowman did recently say farewell to the show’s fans and thank them for their support in a recent post on social media.
