Want a couple of Arrow-verse stories to get you psyched for the weekend? Let’s start with some Legends of Tomorrow season 3 art!
This new art was shared recently by Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer) on Twitter, and it seems to suggest that all of the main characters from the second season are returning in some form or another. Whether or not this is 100% confirmed is something that we may have to wait until later this summer in order to figure out, but it is certainly nice to see Amaya and Rip Hunter both included here. In the case of the latter, he departed the rest of the Legends at the end of season 2, feeling as though his time with them was done. He’s a character in an odd position, mostly because the team seemed to function better without him, but he was very fun when brought back in a different capacity midway through the second season.
Legends of Tomorrow season 2 will return to The CW this fall, and in the same timeslot (Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern) that it had for most of the winter following The Flash.
Now, the big mystery remains just who the new Big Bad / Big Bads or going to be after the fun the Legion of Doom brought to the table. Maybe this is the sort of announcement that is being left for San Diego Comic-Con.
As for some other news…
When is Supergirl going to start filming? – While nothing is altogether official, expect to see Kara and company back in Vancouver working on more new episodes in early July. This gives the cast a chance to unwind and work on some other projects, and then come back up for a busy run of episodes that will likely keep all of them busy until the show rolls around into the spring.
As of now, it’s fair to say that most of the Arrow-verse shows will be coming back early in July, probably after the conclusion of the Independence Day / Canada Day holidays, given that these are a time to celebrate with families.
If you missed it…
All signs are pointing to Reign becoming the season 3 Big Bad for Supergirl, so in the event you do want to see some more news about her, head over here!
