Prison Break season 5 finale spoilers: Poseidon vs. Michael; fear of death

Leading into the Prison Break season 5 finale airing on Fox next week, it’s fair to say that the series has brought out many surprises. For example, who would’ve imagined that Mark Feuerstein of Royal Pains fame would be Poseidon, one of the terrible guys behind so much of the drama this season? Who would’ve felt that there were some moments highly reminiscent of the first couple seasons of the show? While the revival on Fox has its fair share of flaws, it is a significant leap forward in quality and drama from what was going on during Prison Break season 4, similar to Community season 4 in that it’s the one you want to pretend never happened.

Below, take a look at some of the first details for the finale episode “Behind the Eyes.” The name admittedly brings to mind the song “Behind Blue Eyes,” but we have a feeling that this show’s going to go so much darker than the song ever did.

Prison Break season 5 finale synopsis – “Dangerous threats keep Michael and Lincoln fighting to protect Sara and Mike. Meanwhile, Poseidon continues to try and outsmart Michael and the rest of the gang, which leads them to the ultimate showdown, and not everyone makes it out alive.”

By the end of the finale, it is absolutely possible that there could be another dramatic death, though it’s hard to see them doing away with Michael AGAIN after all of the drama that they went through there with “The Final Break” when that first happened.

What’s the future beyond this finale? The main thing to note on that subject is that this is not a series finale per se; there is potential for some further stories to be told, but it’s not going to be in the near future. For now, there are no plans for future scripts being devised beyond just conversations, but that could be different in the future.
