Survivor: Game Changers finale: Preparing for an idol frenzy
Tonight’s new episode started off with the remaining eight players getting rid of Sarah. Following that, things really started to get crazy since there were so many different advantages and idols in place.
Moving into the finale, there is still a lot of room for craziness in the game. There are still idols to be played, and the preview that aired after Wednesday night’s new installment showed that Tai may be coming up with some sort of big scheme with Brad and Troyzan, two of the people who didn’t vote for him on this past Tribal Council. Were it not for these two guys and Sarah, he would have left the game.
What is really crazy about where these three sit now is that if they really wanted to go for it, they could run the table and get all the way to the end of the game together just by winning challenges. If Tai uses idols on himself and Brad and Troyzan uses his on himself, they’re all immune regardless of what happens at the immunity challenge. Sarah has her legacy advantage, and either Cirie or Aubry could be eliminated by default if one of them wins immunity. This could be one of the crazier final six votes seen in the history of the show. Out of the people left, it may make sense for Tai to go to the end with these two guys — he probably has the best shot of winning in this situation. (It’s hard to imagine this happening, if for no other reason than that Troyzan’s barely been on the show this season so he would be a really odd entrant into the final three. What story is there for him that we would be invested in seeing?)
No matter how the season ends now, the feeling remains the same that this is one of the crazier ones that we’ve seen in a rather long time.
