Lucifer season 2 episode 17 spoilers: Charlotte helps Lucifer, Chloe

Going into Lucifer season 2 episode 17, there will be an opportunity to see one dynamic further explores: Charlotte and Chloe. Lucifer’s been able to keep that secret for much of the season so far, but eventually you do have to think that this is going to come back to bite him in the end.

Will that be in next week’s “Sympathy for the Goddess”? Signs suggest that some of the drama here will be saved for the finale, but this episode could serve as a rather fantastic introduction to some of the drama. You’ll see some of this surface courtesy of Charlotte doing her part to help Chloe and Lucifer trying to find someone very key to the current mythology of the show:

Lucifer season 2 episode 17 synopsis – “When the man who had the final piece of the Flaming Sword is murdered and the piece goes missing, Mom joins Chloe and Lucifer on the case to track down the killer. But when Lucifer gets sidelined, Maze recruits him to help save Dr. Linda’s endangered career and confronts him about the secrets he’s been keeping.”

This is the thing about Lucifer — the title character’s always useful to someone, even if he’s also an incredible thorn in the side of them at the same time. He gets himself in a whole lot of trouble, often to the point that he doesn’t quite know or understand how to get out of it. He needs to shore up things with Chloe by the end of the season, but there is also still one other major problem with that: He’s not being as forthcoming as he could be, and doesn’t quite understand that the only way he is probably going to be able to get the relationship on track is if the two of them end up getting on the same page again. That could be far from an easy task.
