The Flash season 3 episode 22 promo helps answer Captain Cold mystery
In the new promo below for Tuesday night’s new episode, you are able to successfully uncover the truth about where Cold was at the time Barry found him, and how he got to the present. In the thumbnail below, you can see the Waverider in the background of when Barry met up with Leonard Snart and asked for his help. Therefore, this moment occurred during the timeline of Legends of Tomorrow season 1, which was when Leonard was probably less evil than at any other point within his life. Whatever this component is, the earlier promo for the episode confirmed that it is being held by King Shark and that for Barry, finding a way to get this said object will be no easy task in the slightest.
Will this episode serve as a way to ensure Captain Cold comes back in the future? It’s easy to think so, but at a certain point, you also have to recognize that there are only so many ways in which you can continue to milk a character who’s already done. One day, there may be a time when Captain Cold slides off into the sunset and the only thing to do is to let him go. That time may be coming sooner than one would think, but it will be interesting to see precisely how the writers plan for that send-off whenever it does happen.
If this episode does serve as the send-off to Snart, the good news is that it’s fairly clear that there is going to be a lot of him that you get a chance to see over the course of the hour. He’s shown in the promo in a wide array of different environments.
