HBO orders movie with Jamie Dornan, Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage

Jamie Dornan and Peter Dinklage are two of the most-popular actors around the world; therefore, it makes sense for them to work together.

Today, it was announced that HBO Films has officially greenlit My Dinner with Hervé, an upcoming movie for the network starring the two actors. Dinklage is set to play the title part of actor Hervé Villechaize, famed for his work in Fantasy Island and the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun. Meanwhile, Dornan will take on journalist Danny Tate. According to Deadline, Tate and Villechaize are going to experience an intense, wild night together that will be the basis for almost the entirety of the movie.

This movie is being directed by Sacha Gervasi (who wrote one of our favorite Tom Hanks films in The Terminal), and this has been a passion project of both his and Dinklage’s for a rather long time. The two have discussed in one form or another making this for over five years, and the plan always was for Dinklage to star in the role in the event that it ever got made. This is one of the benefits now of the relationship between him and HBO, which loves him obviously for both his talent and also his work in Game of Thrones.

For Dornan, this is ultimately another great role to add to his TV arsenal following three years of playing the terrifying Paul Spector over on the British important series The Fall. He also of course is known for his work in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.

We are ultimately a good ways away from this project ever airing, but it is something to keep watch of over the course of the coming weeks and months. It’s certainly one of the projects that we’re the most intrigued about at present out of anything within the TV movie space.

What do you think about the idea of this project, and seeing Dinklage and Dornan work together? Share in the comments!
