Once Upon a Time season 6 finale: Jennifer Morrison talks Emma’s ending
Judging from what Morrison is saying now, she is very much pleased with what series co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis came up with as the conclusion to her story, at least for these first six years. This is what she had to say further on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:
“I feel great. Listen, from Day 1 I’ve always said I love Eddy and Adam’s writing and I love the stories they come up with, and I feel like they do such a wonderful job of taking these characters on really rich journeys. So I’m very pleased with the journey that they had taken Emma on through the whole six years, and I’m pleased with where they’ve taken her to at the end of the six years.”
Morrison also reiterated that the decision to leave the show had more to do with her desire to be home in New York and Los Angeles more so than anything to do with the show or complicated negotiations there. She also left it open as to whether or not she could be in more than one episode of season 7. For the time being, she’s negotiated to be in one installment and that’s it. Maybe something more will happen once it’s confirmed that there will be a season 7 for the show given that for the time being, that is also not something that’s been necessarily confirmed. This is something that we’ll probably hear a little bit more about over the course of the next couple of weeks.
Ultimately, it will be interesting to see not only how you tie together the story of Emma this season, but also how you potentially separate the character from Hook given that Colin O’Donoghue seems to be staying put for the show for another year. The two characters just got married! Therefore, it will be somewhat strange to see them apart.
