Criminal Minds season 12 finale: Shemar Moore on Morgan’s return
In the video below, Moore opens up for the first time about getting the chance to come back in the final episode of the season, why it came about now, and his excitement about seeing Rossi and of course his “baby girl” one more time. There are a few little teases of Morgan with the rest of the team in the preview, and also interview segments with one of the series regulars in Joe Mantegna.
If you’re a diehard Criminal Minds fan and you keep up to date with much of what is going on with the show, one of the things that you probably know already about the finale is that Morgan arrives back at the BAU armed with some information that proves useful in the search for Mr. Scratch, the villain responsible for tormenting most of the team almost for the entirety of this season. It’s possible that he may be the one to help put the guy behind bars!
Beyond that, what is interesting about listening to Mantegna speak is hearing him discuss how this story really plays into a different, more cerebral part of Morgan than anything too physical. You have to remember that he is now a civilian, and no longer has any official ties to the BAU or anything that they’ve got going on. With that, he has to be more creative in how he chooses to help the team and assist them in some of what they are doing.
Oh, and apparently the final minutes of the finale are going to be insane. It’s a good thing that Criminal Minds already has a season 13 renewal, since otherwise this ending could be the sort of thing that makes you go insane and also makes you want to send in piles of hate-mail to CBS.

This might be a good show — at least I might be able to watch it — if the script writers would lose their love affair with the stupid word “unsub.” They throw that in more often than Bill Maher says “F###,” certainly vastly more than any real agent would ever use it, and it’s cloying and obnoxious.
