The Big Bang Theory season 10 finale spoilers: Amy, Sheldon, and what’s next

Big Bang Theory season 10 finale spoilers

Based on some of the first The Big Bang Theory season 10 finale spoilers that we have, it looks like we’re in for a rather crazy finale. Not only that, but it could be one where Amy has something else to be concerned about when it comes to Sheldon.

Remember Dr. Ramona Nowitzki? It’s been a long time since Riki Lindhome was on the show, so we have to assume that this casting is a shout-out to many of the show’s longtime fans who have been there from the very beginning. Her character the last time we saw her was obsessed with Sheldon in almost every way. She wanted him to be this breakthrough genius who changed the world, but simultaneously she wanted him to cut off his friends and drop video games and everything else he enjoyed. Basically, she wanted him to be a science-bot, which now especially is a stark regression from the person he is. You can argue that his improvement as a person could improve his performance as a scientist; he is a happier guy than he once was, and he’s expanded his mind to new frontiers.

It’s been so long since Ramona showed up that she could be a completely new person; while we wouldn’t say that about Sheldon, he certainly has evolved.

The Big Bang Theory season 10 synopsis – “The gang is concerned when Sheldon’s former admirer, Dr. Ramona Nowitzki (Riki Lindhome), resurfaces while Amy is away at Princeton.”

Even though Amy is away, we would be shocked if she doesn’t show up at least via Skype in the episode. We just hope that Sheldon’s not ridiculous enough to fall victim to whatever Nowitzki throws at him. Creatively, we’re also not sure that him being potentially unfaithful to Amy would be that good of a story for this show anyway. We’ve already seen the show tread on this ground before to Leonard, and to a certain extent with Raj dating two women in Emily and Claire at the same time. Plus, Sheldon’s already put Amy through so much that the more he does, the harder it becomes to justify the idea of her wanting to stay with him romantically.
