Longmire season 6: Another episode title, progress report
In a new post on Twitter (see below), Adam Bluming confirms that he is taking on the role of director once more for an episode called “No Greater Character Endorsement,” which is the sixth episode of the season. This installment will take us past the halfway point of Longmire season 6 and firmly into the home stretch, which is both exciting and a little bittersweet given that this is when we start to feel the crush of knowing that we are nearing the end of the show’s run. There will likely be a lot of content that the show crams into these final episodes, so with that, we do feel like the series will do a worthy job of strutting itself off into the sunset.
Bluming is certainly no stranger to Longmire or the production of the show, given that he’s worked as an editor on a number of episodes over the years. Not only that, but he also directed “Chrysalis” during season 5. We like to see that the show is bringing back established talent given that they know the show the best, and are likely going to deliver a product that feels closest to the show that we have known and loved from the past several years.
Are there still plenty of story mysteries out there? Absolutely, with the relationship between Walt and Vic (pictured above) being one of them. Of course, there are some other big cliffhangers that they have to deal with first, whether it be Walt and his job status or Vic and her pregnancy. We imagine that these will be story threads that the Netflix series is fairly eager to take early during the season. After all, we do think that they are the sort of thread that if they ignore it for too long, it starts to fester and viewers may not get a chance to enjoy anything else as much because they’re so obsessed with finding out the answers to these questions.
