Bull episode 21 spoilers: Eliza Dushku makes her debut
For now, though, we don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves. Instead, let’s just ahead and share a few more details regarding “Welcome Back, Dr. Bull,” an episode that airs next week on CBS. There is a specific reason why Nunnelly is being brought into the fold, and it is tied both to Freddy Rodriguez’s role as Benny Colon and a certain aspect of his past.
Bull episode 21 synopsis – “Bull makes a deal with top criminal attorney J.P. Nunnelly (guest star Eliza Dushku) to defend Benny when he goes to trial for misconduct in a case related to his former career with the District Attorney’s office”
The deal that you see Bull strike with Nunnelly is effectively that if she agrees to help Benny out, Bull and the TAC have to help her in return with some of her cases. As a result of that, the final episodes of this season will feature the parties working together in some capacity. It’s always fun to see a new dynamic between Bull and someone else in the legal world, and what probably impresses us the most about the image above is precisely how much Nunnelly holds her own. You don’t get the sense that she is intimidated at all by Bull, and absolutely won’t have any interest in him walking all over him or trying some wide array of tricks in order to get the jury on his side.
If these two are going to successfully work together, whether it be in this case or down the road, they’ll need compromise. As you probably know from watching most of the season to date, compromise is not exactly Bull’s strong suit. He is more inclined for the most part to stir up trouble with other people in the courtroom, though it is often a means to a successful end.
