Once Upon a Time season 6 episode 20 spoilers: How musical takes place
Take a look at the synopsis below for more:
“In flashback, Snow and Charming make a special wish that Emma will be protected. The result of their wish has the whole kingdom bursting into song which infuriates the Evil Queen. Meanwhile in Storybrooke, the Black Fairy announces her plans to unleash another curse on the town while Emma and Hook prepare for their wedding.”
This is some of the real irony that’s present here for the episode — you’ve got one of the happiest occasions possible in a wedding juxtaposed directly against something like the Black Fairy effectively trying to destroy the entire town. There’s also the issue here in that there is a big betrayal courtesy of Rumpelstiltskin, who claimed to have destroyed his mother even though that is not actually the case.
The photo above features none other than Colin O’Donoughue’s Captain Hook in the past belting out a huge song for all of his fellow pirates to hear, and we’re sure that it will be completely ridiculous — but also fun! That’s a big part of this episode’s charm. You can’t take it seriously, just as you cannot expect it to be much more than fan service for most of the hour. If we do get a few things that matter to the story, whether it be the wedding or the Black Fairy’s latest machinations, we have to expect that this is going to be enough to make us happy.
This episode of Once Upon a Time is also important in that after it airs, there are technically only two more left this season. This is a huge issue given that these episodes may be the final ones for the series, given that the show has not been renewed as of yet over on ABC.

Rumplestiltskin’s “betrayal”??? First off, Rumple would have to be stupid to attack her straight on. He needs the element of surprise. That said, my
attitude in why the heck does Rumple have to be the one to kill his
mom, he already killed his father (twice) to save everybody, and the
first time ingrates let him rot in Zelena’s cage, and they have now
embraced his torturer and son’s murderer as ‘one
of their own’, and the second time he killed his father, they didn’t
have the decency to check whether Belle even made it out of the
Underworld, and then they tried to block Rumple’s efforts to wake her.
Let one of them get their hands dirty or die, Rumple’s done enough.
