Pretty Little Liars season 7 episode 13 sneak peek: An Yvonne – Toby update

Where are Yvonne and Toby now in the aftermath of their Pretty Little Liars accident? The sneak peek below offers insight.

In this preview, you can see Emily and Toby specifically talking about how Yvonne is faring in the wake of their near-fatal crash. She is alive, but she is still struggling and having a hard time communicating … at least until the end of this preview. She says is name, and Toby asks Emily to go and get the nurse.

One of the most interesting things about this sneak peek to us is thinking about how the show’s writers and producers could resolve what is a pretty central issue for them right now — making us care for Yvonne even though we’re rooting for Spencer and Toby. If those two are the true endgame here, which it is likely based on how we feel PLL has a super-romantic heart for its longtime couples, how do we get from point A to point B? What’s the best way to make that happen?

By the end of this episode, maybe there will be some further updates on this, but we’re not sure how many given that there are so many other priorities out there at the moment that some of these characters are going to be dealing with. This includes in part the ever-present A.D., and then also the mysterious new characters Addison who can be more or less considered an early version of Ali thanks to many of her antics and opinions that we’ve seen so far. She’s somehow connected to a larger mystery, and we still have to figure out just what that is.

For the time being, though, we suggest to simply appreciate this sneak peek … and also the friendship that we’ve seen form over time between Emily and Toby. It’s one of the more interesting components of the show.
