Britain’s Got Talent video: St. Patrick’s Junior Choir; Ryan Tracey’s balloons

St. Patrick's Junior Choir

Going into Saturday’s new Britain’s Got Talent episode, we’ve got a few things to be excited about, including the St. Patrick’s Junior Choir.

The first of the three sneak peeks that we’ve got for you below features the young group performing a powerful cover of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know.” The reality here is that this is one of our favorite tear-jerker songs out there. Anyone could sing this and we would start to get a little bit emotional as a result of it. This performance is really no exception to that. The kids all have powerful voices, and we feel just about every note in which they sing here. It’s inspiring, and while we don’t think that we will see them get a golden buzzer from it, they’ve got a good ticket at present to the next phase of the competition. The only issue they may encounter is that of comparisons, given that there have been a ton of great choirs featured on Britain’s Got Talent over the years. It could be rather tough to live up to much of that.

As for some of the other previews that you can see in the videos below…

Ryan Tracey – Why do so many people love to break world records regarding balloons on this show? Remember the dog who set the balloon-popping record? Here, Ryan is trying to set the record for the most balloon animals made in a short period of time. Based on the progress that he’s making here, we don’t exactly think that he is going to make it.

On a separate note, why do the people from the Guinness World Records have to have such odd suit jackets that they wear everywhere?

The Queen – This is obviously the gimmick to end all gimmicks — someone thought that if they dressed up like Her Majesty as they appeared on the show, they would get a little bit of airtime. As it turns out, they were right. They are getting a chance to appear on this show and get far more attention than they likely would otherwise.

With that said, we’re not sure this is making it to the next round.

What do you think about these performances, and are you feeling more excited about this weekend’s new Britain’s Got Talent episode than ever before? Share in the comments below!
