MasterChef Junior exclusive: Kitchen yoga goes terribly awry
In the exclusive sneak peek below, you can get what is effectively a blast from the past. This episode tonight is going to be a best-of clip show with some of the best moments from past seasons, and this one has to be one of the best bloopers out there in the history of the show. Remember when Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich were the judges alongside Gordon Ramsay? This sneak peek will help you remember that. Not only that, but it’s also going to give you a pretty good sense at just how terrible Joe is at doing yoga. (To be fair, he also is trying to do it while wearing a suit — no easy task there.)
A young home cook is going to do a brief kitchen yoga demonstration, and Joe does his best to follow along. Unfortunately, all he gets in the end is an embarrassing moment where he wipes out, and everyone has a good laugh at his expense. We’ll give him some credit for being a reasonably good sport about the whole thing. If we’re going to look back at some of what has made MasterChef Junior great over the course of the entire series, it is expressing this willingness to have a little bit of fun and be silly. It’s not something that they have to do, and it’s with that in mind that we rather appreciate that they put themselves out there.
Above all else, we’d say that the legacy of this show through five seasons is being fun, inspirational family entertainment. you get to see kids fulfill some of their dreams, while encouraging other people regardless of their age to take on some similar challenges.
For those wondering when the remainder of the series proper is going to air, have no fear — it will be returning next week. That’s also when we will be back to get back into our routine of providing full reviews, plus also exclusive exit interviews with the contestants.
