If you’re looking for some early The Originals season 4 finale spoilers, we’ve got them for you below … with a warning that they make you sad.
We are pretty accustomed to the idea of characters dying within this world — after all, you have to be at this point given that this is a show that has already taken away from us such people as Cami and Davina. It’s a part of the fabric, and therefore something that you do have to just prepare yourself for. With that said, this doesn’t necessarily make things any easier over time given that you become attached to characters over time. It’s hard to see them go, but early indications are that this is something that you probably should prepare yourself for as we inch ever closer to the finale episode airing.
Speaking to TVLine, show executive producer Michael Narducci teases that there is going to be a continued effort throughout the finale for everyone to figure out how to defeat an enormous threat, which is likely going to be the Hollow based on where the story is going to date. Meanwhile, he also offered up the following when discussing some of the stakes and sacrifices that we’re going to be seeing coming up the rest of the way:
“The victory does come with a pretty severe cost. There’s a price to be paid, and we’re setting the audience up for that.”
If there is a season 5 for the show (which we really hope that there is), odds are that it will look different for a few different reasons. You’ll probably have someone gone from the mix, and then also everyone in different places than they were in previously.
So far, we love what the show is doing through season 4. We hope that the finale is electric and entertaining, and that the ratings stay solid enough for The CW to realize that there is some tremendous value in bringing the show back for more.
