The 100 season 4 episode 9 sneak peek: The bunker battle
The first thing worth pointing out here is simply the title: “DNR,” or “do not resuscitate.” This is typically something that’s written down on a form in the hospital, that way when a patient goes under, the doctors know that they don’t want to be brought back. In the context of this show, that’s terrifying. We haven’t seen any enormous deaths yet that are on part with what happened during season 3, so we have to figure that this is something that could be coming. It’s a big part of the show’s identity at this point, even if it does cause social media to be torn down to the ground after the fact.
Beyond all of this speculation on our end, the preview video below features executive producer Jason Rothenberg giving you a nice little recap of where we got here, which is nice given that the show’s been off the air now for a few weeks. He also goes into the existence of the level 12 bunker, and the various forces that could be colliding before everyone is safe. This bunker does offer up a little bit of hope that most of the main characters could survive an impending nuclear holocaust, but the thing with this show is that nothing is easy. Also, nobody is safe. It’s a cliche, but in this case it’s a true one.
What these characters go through over the course of this coming episode could certainly change them. If nothing else, it will allow them to be further tested in terms of their capacity to fight and think on the fly. Some of these people are still effectively kids, but they’ve gone through more than many people who are, ironically, a hundred years old.
