Jane the Virgin season 3 episode 16 sneak peek: Fabian’s ‘help’
Fabian is an actor, and he’s also a ridiculous personality whose similarity in name to Fabio is probably no coincidence. He’s handsome, over-the-top, and it’s understandable why Jane would be attracted to him.
How does he feel about her? Well, in this sneak peek he does show a willingness to help her … gain Twitter followers, anyway. She’s shown a reluctance to talk about her life and her past as a means to help sell her book, which means that there may need to be a different approach. This is when he determines that one of the best ways in which he can “help” her is by convincing her to get involved in some sort of relationship. The two parties can be seen with each other, she will sell more books, and she’ll get a lot of followers in terms of Fabian fans who hate her and decide to follow her anyway. We’re not sure that this is the type of attention that she wants, but is any publicity good publicity?
In the end, it feels like Fabian’s primary motivation here is trying to impress Rogelio and get on his good side, and is looking towards Jane as a means to doing that better. We’re not sure precisely how this will end up working for him, but this does have the makings of a rather-fun part of the story and we’re very much curious to see how all of this unfolds. Fabian is a fun character, and even if there are no romantic sparks in general, we do want to see him stick around for a bit. Given that he is also being upfront with his intentions in helping Jane, there’s less of a reason to think that he is misleading her or sending her into a place to get her heart broken, though that could change over time if some feelings actually form.
