The 100 season 4 spoilers: Eliza Taylor teases higher stakes, big finale
Want to get a little more in the way of insight into what’s coming? Then you don’t have to look any further than what star Eliza Taylor had to say on the subject in a new interview with TV Guide:
“I think it’s fair to say that Clarke isn’t going to balance things as well as she has in the past because the stakes are just that high … Just when you thought our show couldn’t get anymore intense, it’s the end of the world again. I think people will be interested to see how she’s kind of losing it, but determined to push through.”
It’s easy to figure out here precisely why Clarke would be feeling a lot of responsibility, given that the fate of both herself and many of the people that she loves rest squarely on her shoulders as she struggles to try and figure out the proper way to protect everyone from a possible nuclear holocaust. She’s made many difficult decisions already this season, and all signs point to the fact that there could be more coming up down the road. By the end of the season, we could be in a situation where almost anything could happen. The aforementioned site mentions that there are some rumors of a significant time jump coming between season 4 and season 5, and that may make some sense in the aftermath of whatever happens with the state of Planet Earth on the show.
The biggest thing that we want to see on The 100 as the show nears the end of this season is hope. It really doesn’t matter so much in what form it comes; all that does matter is the fact that we have it. This is a show that can often be very grim and depressing. There is a need for there to be little things here and there that people can cling to and smile about. Fingers crossed that the show provides this opportunity at some point.
