Grey’s Anatomy season 13 spoilers: Owen’s surprising news

What could Owen’s surprising news mean on Grey’s Anatomy season 13? We’ve seen many stories about him and Amelia, but this one may be different. After all, this one could mark an opportunity for him to get a spotlight story that is different than almost any that we’ve uncovered for most of the season.

Per a new report from SpoilerTV, the upcoming 23rd episode of the series entitled “True Colors” (likely inspired, at least by name, by the Cyndi Lauper song) is going to focus on Leonard getting some “life-changing news.” Amelia will be there for him, so it certainly seems like whatever he is facing is somewhat independent from his relationship with her.

If we were to put on our speculation cap for a moment here, we’d say that we hope that this could involve in some way his sister still being alive. For one, it’d be great to have Bridget Regan on the show again. Also, Owen needs happiness in his life. It’d be an emotional thing for him to deal with at first, but we certainly believe he’d be more than happy in the end.

As for what else is coming in this episode, you will see a big story for Alex after he makes a “shocking discovery” while at a medical conference. Based on the timing for this episode, this could mark the debut of Matthew Morrison — his role still has not been confirmed as of yet, but most signs do seem to suggest taht he could be playing the part of Jo’s estranged husband. Seeing him enter the world at this time could prove startling, and also challenging for a guy like Alex who recently avoided jail time for his violent behavior. Now that he knows this man and what he did to Jo, that temptation to get physical is probably going to be there. He’ll just need to remember that sometimes, it’s better to do nothing than it is to cause some sort of epic scene.
