MasterChef Junior season 5 episode 11 sneak peek: A mystery box surprise
Specifically, this preview is of the Mystery Box Challenge, and this one looks to be all about family. The moment that all of young home cooks walked into the kitchen and saw the largest Mystery Box ever, they had to assume that it was possible that their family was standing in there somewhere. When the box was lifted, that suspicion was concerned.
How are the parents going to be involved in the challenge? We imagine that the remaining kids are probably going to have to cook something that relates back to them in some shape or form. Maybe they are a sous chef for a challenge, or maybe the young chefs have to cook a dish that is inspired by them in some way. Regardless, the parents are going to be around in order to be a part of the story this week, which we personally feel is going to make in part the episode that much more fun. It gives you more insight into where the contestants come from, and the sort of food that they likely both cook and eat whenever they are back home.
In the end, we imagine that this is going to be one of the more entertaining, insightful episodes of the show this season. It certainly helps that we are at a point now where we know most of the remaining contestants fairly well, and they each will have the allotted time to tell their stories. That is the sort of thing that is inherently more challenging when you have more contestants in the kitchen, and it really doesn’t matter if you are talking about the regular or Junior edition of the program.
Oh, and this sneak peek also confirms that the great Chef Edward Lee will be returning as a guest judge. We love Edward, and we’re starting to feel like he and Chris Sacca from Shark Tank get their shirts from the same store.
