The Voice spoilers: What Josh West, Lilli Passero, Mark Isaiah will sing

Mark Isaiah

Tonight, the remaining twelve contestants on The Voice are going to be performing in order to advance past the Live Playoffs, and this specifically includes Team Adam Levine and Team Gwen Stefani.

So what are the artists performing? That’s what this article is all about! We’re going to spotlight here the performances from Team Adam (minus the wildcard — no spoilers on that for now!), and we’ll be back soon with the choices from Team Gwen.

Mark Isaiah, “All Time Low” – Good choice. It’s super-modern and should appeal to young viewers. Should also sell well on iTunes, which is something Adam strategically should be looking at.

Jesse Larson, “Sir Duke” – It’s not the most famous Stevie Wonder song, but it’s still Stevie Wonder. There is a lot to like about that alone.

Lilli Passero, “It’s Too Late” – She’s probably our favorite on Adam’s team, and picking a Carole King classic is a good way to try to emotionally connect to a song.

Josh West, “More Than a Feeling” – WE LOVE BOSTON. Okay. Enough of that. The test here is more if there is a way to modernize what is admittedly an extremely vintage song.

Hanna Eyre, “Skyscraper” – This is a heck of a powerful song. If she can deliver on the notes and the emotional connection, there’s a really good chance that she could advance.

Ultimately, what we’ve learned about the Live Playoffs is that what happens is hardly ever what we think is going to happen. Therefore, predictions are really out the window and such things as placement in the show, genre, edit, and personality have to do with how far someone advances on this show just as much as genre. We’ll get a chance to see on Wednesday more of what actually happens as we move forward in the competition.
