Once Upon a Time season 6 episode 17 spoilers: A Hook, Tiger Lily alliance

For whatever reason, ABC took their time when it came to releasing some scoop regarding Once Upon a Time season 6 episode 17 entitled “Awake.” We knew that this was going to be a big episode for the characters of Snow and Charming, and we’re just starting to figure out now that it’s going to be even more exciting thanks to the arrival of Tiger Lily.

What’s interesting to us is that we never had a chance to really spend much time with Tiger Lily back when the bulk of the characters were actually in Neverland. Now, it’s looking more like she will be a focal point in Hook’s journey to find his way back to Storybrooke. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“Still trapped in Neverland, Hook aligns himself with Tiger Lily, hoping to find a way back to Emma. Back in Storybook, Regina works to break the sleeping curse that David and Snow are under, and Gold denies The Black Fairy, which brings the two of them to a fearsome impasse. In flashbacks, we learn what Snow and Charming sacrificed in order for Emma to fulfill her destiny as the Savior.”

With the title for the episode being “Awake,” it would really feel like ABC was pulling the rug out from under us in the event that we did not see Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas’ characters awake by the end of the hour. Then again, Once Upon A Time does like to play its fair share of tricks, and maybe that is exactly what they are doing here. They can throw us off the scent here ever so slightly, and then give us a whole ocean of tears to swim through. Still, we feel confident that in this instance, they’re not tricking us. Remember for a minute the rumors that Goodwin and Dallas are leaving at the end of the season — if that’s true, is it really in the show’s best interest to keep the two parties apart? We don’t think so.
