If you’ve been looking for the Nashville season 5 episode 12 air date, we’ve got it for you within this article and so much more!
Let’s start with getting said air date out of the way — after a lengthy hiatus (otherwise known as a substantial period of time in which to get off the loss of Rayna), the CMT series will return on Thursday, June 1 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. this is the same exact timeslot that the show had during the first half of the season, so you don’t have to do anything in terms of messing with your schedule to accommodate the show.
As for some other great news … you’re going to see it back for a season 6, as well! CMT today officially confirmed that there will be a new batch of 16 episodes coming your way in 2018. We’re not altogether shocked by the shorter order, given that this is more in line with the average cable show (take, for example, The Walking Dead over on AMC). Not only that, but this affords the cast and writers a little more time and flexibility, which at this point in the show’s run could be important to them. This renewal signifies that CMT is happy with the ratings that the show is getting both through them and through Hulu, where there is some sort of exclusive deal at present.
We do personally think that Nashville is the sort of show that could go on for however long the powers-that-be want for it to, given that it gives its network a little bit of scripted-TV credibility while also being a show more about a community than any particular character. We used to think that it was just about Rayna and Juliette, but with one of them gone, that’s clearly not the case anymore. (With that, we also don’t want to see Juleitte leave anytime soon.)
The video below should offer up an opportunity to see some further discussion when it comes to what’s next for the series — we already know that there are some new characters joining the fold, so this should be one of the many different things that you have to look forward to seeing.
