NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 20 sneak peek: Kensi dances!
Specifically, Daniela Ruah’s character is doing everything that she can to try to impress a prolific dance teacher as a part of an undercover operation; that way, she can get on the inside and figure out what exactly she needs to do in order to solve a murder. Ruah can really dance! This preview is impressive, and it shows off an entirely new skill. It’s also fun, and a nice change of pace from some of the other cases since there is such a sense of lightness to it. While we know that there is some serious business here in the form of a murder, it is fun that we see a few other things focused on to go along with that. It reminds us almost of some of those silly episodes of a classic comedic crime procedural, one where there is an odd undercover mission almost every week.
Probably the best part of the entire preview, at least to us, is watching some of Deeks’ facial reactions as he sees just how talented she is while out on the dance floor. It’s such a different part of her personality that she is showing off, but we absolutely makes it work for her without a problem.
Eventually, we figure that Kensi will make her way out of this, but how many dances will she do before that? That’s a part of the question.
One other bit of fun context that we have while watching this preview is the knowledge that Kensi and Deeks are going to be getting engaged by the end of the season. We don’t unfortunately know whether or not it’s going to be this episode or some other point down the road, but this is an important thing to remember.
