Pretty Little Liars season 7: Keegan Allen teases Toby’s future
With Pretty Little Liars bringing the final season to the table later this month, there are many different questions that you should be pondering. Near the top of the list is one related big-time to the Toby cliffhanger at the end of the first half of the season. Last we saw him and Yvonne, things weren’t looking all that good for him … but would the show really kill off one of their most prominent male cast members so soon to the end of the series?
At the moment, the powers that be on the series are of course not saying one way or another, but there could still be a pretty major reason to worry. In terms of Toby’s future, and some of the various ways in which you might see him, Keegan Allen had the following to say in a new interview on the subject to TV Guide:
“I can say that he might be in flashbacks, that he might be haunting his house. He might be haunting other people’s memories. He might be a ghost of himself … Everyone always makes that joke of ‘with all of these terrible things happening in Rosewood, why don’t you just leave?’ — here’s a perfect example … He chose to [go with] the woman [he loved] and she trusted him. They got in the card and he was driving … This is his face. You can never leave Rosewood.”
Our hope for Toby is that someday, he and Spencer do end up finding a way back to one another. However, at the same time we do understand that it could be rather difficult thing for the two to do right away on the upcoming season. Maybe they will be able to figure things out, but this is the sort of thing that’s going to take time and effort on both of their part. In the world of Pretty Little Liars, relationships are not sprints. They are marathons, and often a lot of things need to happen in order to ensure that everything is going to be okay at the very end of the road.
