Outlander season 3: Even more Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan photos
Given that you can’t just send these ships out into the middle of the ocean, expect many green-screen effects to achieve that effect. You can see a little tease of that during some of these photos. Meanwhile, you also see Sam continuing to do some training, some more great images of the ships, and overall, some solid reminders that even though filming the show is hard work, there are some opportunities here and there in order for everyone to have a good time. They just have to pick and choose their battles here and there.
New episodes of Outlander season 3 are going to air on Starz starting up in September. It’s a little too early to confirm any further release date or trailers, but let’s hope for a little bit more in the way of insight soon.
In the end, the big takeaway from these images is mostly that Starz does want to do a good job not only when it comes to having a great product at the end of the day, and they also want to keep it front of mind for many of their viewers.
Before we conclude … a little rant
Let’s do a tad bit more finger-wagging, this time at People Magazine for reporting on the recent Sam – Caitriona rugby trip using the words “cuddle up.” It’s a bit of an odd choice for the publication to choose a title that seems to serve as a method to further endorse false dating rumors, only for then feature past quotes from the actors about how frustrating it is to have to deal with said rumors. It’s like someone starting a fire before complaining about how terrible fires are.
As always, share some of your thoughts on this Outlander story in the comments!
Meanwhile, be sure to head over to the link here in the event you want to get some further news when it comes to the show right now. (Photo: Starz.)

Magazines always have to have something to gossip about. It is so unfair to Sam and Cait and their significant others but it is just gossip with no truth to it.It actually is a compliment to their skills as actors to be able to portray the depth of Jamie and Claire’s relationship so vividly that it looks real. Great job guys.

First of all the pictures of the ship are gorgeous. I didn’t picture the Artemis or the Bruha(sp?) as being so grand but it’s great to see the images. So thanks for sharing. Secondly, couldn’t agree more re People using the term “cuddle up”. As book readers and viewers, aren’t we so incredibly lucky that the actors for J&C formed such a fast and true bond as friends. Isn’t that ultimately much much more important to the outcome of the storytelling. You can tell that they seriously love and respect each other…And enjoy each other’s company which was a HUGE part of J&C’s relationship. I think of the scene in Voyager where Jamie is so unburdened by having Claire to talk to, to be himself with, to be still and true with….that’s what I feel Sam and Caitriona have. I’m grateful for that.
