Home Fires season 2 episode 2 (PBS): Pat, Marek’s future

Following tonight’s premiere episode on PBS, Home Fires season 2 episode 2 will continue to balance out hope and despair. This is a show that tries hard to achieve that balance, knowing that it’s difficult because of everything happening in this world. We’ve still got the threat of war and the uncertainty in the town, and you also have secrets that are often being hidden from characters as a result. When you’re in a time of war, it amplifies feelings and makes you act more in the moment. At times, these actions can bring positive change; unfortunately, at some other points it can bring tremendous heartbreak.

At the end of tonight’s episode, we started to get the further sense of Pat’s feelings for Marek. We all know that she cares for him, and understandably so given what she’s been subjected to for so long with Bob. She deserves happiness! Unfortunately, what you’re going to see within this episode are some potentially-dire consequences to making a move given Bob’s sudden reemergence in the picture despite the events at the end of season 1.

We do certainly know that this story is just the tip of the iceberg; we’ve got a little more information regarding what you can expect below.

Home Fires season 2 episode 2 synopsis – “The attraction between Pat and Marek continues to grow, but the risk of acting on their feelings is huge. At the reading of his will, Frances discovers that Peter was keeping a secret from her.”

The secret that Peter is keeping here is a pretty dramatic one, and also one that could have devastating consequences for both he and Frances. We don’t want to say too much about what is coming up, other than the fact that it could be ending rather quickly.

We’ve already made it clear that time is absolutely of the essence moving forward into the remainder of these episodes, thanks mostly to the fact that we’re going to be seeing only five more episodes of the series. There is a way that the story is continuing beyond the series, but that’s something we’ll discuss more once it finishes airing in America.
