Kingdom season 3 will be last for Nick Jonas, cast
In a new statement to Entertainment Weekly, AT&T Audience Network and Endemol Shine Studios
“We are looking forward to the upcoming third and final season of Kingdom… We expect Season 3 to be a great one and appreciate the hard work and dedication from creator and showrunner Byron Balasco, as well as the entire cast and crew. We could not be more proud to have worked with all of them on such an amazing series.”
We cannot call this announcement all that big of a surprise, mostly because shows to tend to escalate in cost as they go along, and when you’re airing on a slightly smaller network than some of the cable titans, it can be a little more challenging to keep things going in the long-term. Still, we have to figure that this news comes as a bummer to many of the show’s devoted fans, given that Kingdom was such a different and unique product than the majority of the stuff that is airing across TV these days. You want to see the medium explore new subjects and ideas, especially since doing much of the same old, same old is boring and uneventful. The more ways that you find to shake things up and change the game, the more often that we’re going to find it to be exciting and interesting.
For the time being, our suggestion is to simply dive into the series and enjoy it. If nothing else, be grateful for the fact that you know that the show is ending in advance, given that this way, you can be better prepared for it and further anticipate more of everything that is going to be coming up down the line. You know that the show is building towards something specific rather than just spinning its wheels.
