The Voice UK final: Was Into the Ark or Mo Adeniran season 6 winner?
In the end, though, we saw tonight Jamie Miller leave in third place before the incident of stage-crashing happened, which left us with a final two of Mo Adeniran or Into the Ark. We’ve stated this a few times over now, but we felt fairly confident that we’d be seeing Into the Ark win based mostly on what we know about most singing-show viewers: They often go for the young guys with the guitar. This was that to the multiple of two, they are very talented, and they could be commercially viable after the fact. When you think about the history of The Voice UK through at least everything that we’ve seen from them so far, this is not exactly something that they’ve got a lot of.
In preparation of the final results of the season, we of course did have some more performances and a little more filler … though not so much that it was crazy. Of the two, we do think that either would be a good winner — Jamie’s great, but he’s a little too similar to some of the other guys that we’ve seen on the show over the years.
Winner results – Let’s get to the big news. The winner of this season is … Mo! He pulled it off! Maybe this was an upset to us, but we feel like most of the British press had this one in advance. We do think he was one of the most memorable people throughout the season, and we really hope that he does get a chance to succeed after the fact.
Ultimately, though, this is the sort of thing that we’re going to be waiting for quite some time in order to see, just because there are so many things that will go into it. He’ll have to get the right team around him, just as he’s going to need to have some great songs that allow his voice to shine. This is at this point such a team effort, and it’s an incredibly competitive landscape out there. It’s harder to succeed than it was years ago.
