Line of Duty season 4 episode 3 synopsis – “As AC-12 wrestle with the new forensic evidence casting doubt over Tim Ifield, Kate is approached by another woman claiming to have been assaulted by Michael Farmer. While Steve fumes over this contradictory testimony, Kate uses her newfound respect to inveigle herself with the Trapdoor team.
“Meanwhile, Steve challenges Roz’s husband Nick to vouch for his wife’s whereabouts on the night Tim Ifield went missing. With Nick proving evasive, Steve senses a whole new angle on the investigation.”
Given that we’re dealing with a season of just six episodes, you’re going to see things build rather quickly on the way to finding further answers in the end. We don’t see the show doing anything to make you wait forever for further information, especially since these seasons are fairly open-and-shut. We’re just glad to have an exciting new dimension this season in the form of Thandie Newton, who will be rather busy otherwise with Westworld over on HBO.
For those who didn’t hear, last week’s episode drew around five million viewers, which is certainly a nice start to the season and could offer some hope for the future. Even if this was America (where we’re writing this article from), this would be seen as a pretty acceptable viewership based on the network. Line of Duty is just one of those classic police series that can air at almost any time, and you know there will be an audience there in order to check it out further.
