Bull spoilers: Isaiah Washington poised to guest star
Now, you can expect to see the actor (also known for Grey’s Anatomy) appearing on the upcoming April 18 episode of Bull entitled “Bring It On.” As for who he is going to play, think a powerful attorney by the name of Jules Caffrey. he’s a guy who Dr. Bull ends up assisting after he is put on trial in the murder of his fiancee. As a result of that, Bull eventually comes to realize that the best way for Caffrey to get the jury on his side is for him to represent himself.
Typically, these days the idea of someone doing something like representing themselves in a trial is comical. Often, it’s used for some of those kids’ movies where you see something like this happen — a kid represents himself, somehow manages to defeat the evil super-lawyer, and you’re left with that message of “kids can do anything.” (Maybe we’re getting away from the point here, but the comical nature of self-representation in media is one of the reasons why you rarely see it happen in serious contexts — even if there are some applicable uses for it.)
Given that Bull’s got a very good track record at this point in the series in terms of getting what he wants, we’d be inclined to believe him if we were a client. He gets the job done, even if he does at times do so in some rather unconventional ways.
“Bring It On” should set the stage for some of the episodes airing a little bit later in the season, even though CBS has yet to release many details about some of them just yet. What we do know is that the show’s been renewed for a second season already, and that Eliza Dushku will be appearing in the finale — as a matter of fact, all signs indicate that she could even end up being a season 2 regular when some of the dust ends up settling.
