The Blacklist: Redemption episode 7 spoilers: Megan Boone guest-stars

Next week, you can argue that The Blacklist: Redemption episode 7 is effectively kicking off the two-part finale. After all, the final episodes of this season are both going to be about uncovering the mystery that is Whitehall; not only that, but you’re also going to get an opportunity to see whether or not Tom Keen can emerge from this situation with the answers that he seeks. If this does turn out to be the final season of the show, you of course probably want to know that the mission was worth it for him. At the moment, we’re not sure he can say that one way or the other.

Below, you can take a look at some of the first details for what is coming up, and how the entire situation with Scottie and Howard Hargrave is going to lead to shocking decisions and a ticking clock.

Synopsis – “Tensions escalate between Scottie (Famke Janssen) and Howard (Terry O’Quinn) forcing Tom (Ryan Eggold) to reach out to an unexpected ally for help. As explosive family secrets come to light, Tom races against time to learn the truth about Whitehall.”

Who is this unexpected ally? It would be fun to see some sort of Blacklist crossover appearance come up in here, but it’s hard to know if that’s going to happen. Heck, the timeline for this show and the flagship one is confusing enough as it is given that you don’t often know precisely how The Blacklist will handle some of Tom’s story when it returns later in April.

Promo – This gives you a sense as to why these final episodes are especially powerful, and it stems back to one thing — Scottie Hargrave now knowing the truth about her son. Megan Boone’s going to be appearing in the episode as Tom figures out a way to end the mess that he’s gotten himself into, and it’s going to prove very difficult. Despite the family “bond,” this may not stop Scottie from pulling the trigger on him. Things are going to get violent, and judging from Ryan Eggold’s face, they’re going to get very bloody, as well.
