Bates Motel season 5 episode 7 promo: Trouble ahead for Norman

In the aftermath of tonight’s fascinating, brilliant shower-scene twist on Bates Motel, there is nowhere else for the go but forward, right? That seems to be the plan now as we look further ahead to “Inseparable,” the new episode airing on A&E next week. This is an installment that moves on from Sam Loomis and Marion Crane, and allows itself to be more about Norman Bates and some of his demons. It also focuses more on the possibility that someone could be coming for Norman once and for all. Just think for a minute about everything that he has done, the people that he’s killed, and just how mentally incapable he now is of functioning in a normal way. All of these things suggest that there are some difficult times coming for many of the people around him.

This brings us to the new episode of the series airing next week, as the walls will start to close in around him. The promo for the next episode makes that clearer, while also exposing further the complicated dynamic that exists in his mind as he starts to disagree on a regular basis with Norma. This is all just a small slice of everything that will be coming in the final handful of episodes. Fingers crossed that it proves to be worth the waiting.
