Dancing with the Stars 24 results: Was Chris Kattan or Charo eliminated?
Going into the show, we did have a pretty clear picture in our mind as to who we were specifically worried about. At the top of the list was Charo, mostly because of her low scores and going early, but we also had both Chris Kattan and Erika Jayne not far behind. As terrible as Mr. T was in his first routine, there’s something to be said for brand recognition! We figured that he would end up being safe in the end.
When the results were actually announced tonight, we learned that Chris and Charo were both in jeopardy. Everyone else was safe, and soon after that we learned that Chris and Witney Carson were the first two eliminated from the season. The first dance was pretty bad, and there was no reason to think that we were going to get any other conclusion to the night here.
Of course, the irony was that had Chris told more of his backstory last week and endeared viewers more to him, odds are that he would’ve had a better chance of sticking around. This was one of the first times that people got to get to know him a little bit better beyond just being a comic actor and a former Saturday Night Live cast member.
As for Charo’s longevity on the show past tonight, we don’t imagine too much more of her. Maybe she gets another week or two in the competition, but that is all that she can really hope for unless her scores start to improve. We still remain concerned for Erika Jayne after tonight — everyone else fared decently enough that we don’t foresee them being in any real danger for a little while longer. We’ll break some of this down further over the coming days, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that analysis. We may even break down the departure of Chris further tomorrow.
