CBS announces Hawaii Five-0, Criminal Minds, NCIS 2017 finale dates

Today, CBS lifted the veil on their full finale dates for the upcoming season, and as you’re going to see, it’s pretty spread out across the next couple of months just as you would expect. Some shows are ending early, and in the case of The Amazing Race, you’re going to see it airing until after the May sweeps thanks mostly to it getting off to such a late start this year.

Note that all times listed below are Eastern, so adjust accordingly depending on where you live. We’ll have a few quick notes and impressions in here throughout.

Friday, April 14

8:00 – MacGyver (CBS)

The reason for the early end to this season, and the 21-episode order, is because CBS originally planned on airing The Amazing Race in this timeslot. That plan changed following the abrupt move of Training Day to Saturdays. The Phil Keoghan-hosted reality show is now premiering Thursday.

This will be, as per usual, a two-hour finale followed by a live reunion show. In order to end the show at this point, our estimation is that CBS may need to do another double-episode at some point along the way like they did with the premiere.
