Britain’s Got Talent 2017 promo: Pandemonium galore

Britain's Got Talent 2017

With the Britain’s Got Talent 2017 season coming next month to ITV, we’re on edge to certainly see precisely what the show manages to pull off this season. It’s our favorite edition of the talent franchise for a wide array of different reasons, but at the top of the list is the camp factor.

Are there great singers and dancers on this show? Sure, but 90% of them are almost immediately forgetful. We watch this show primarily in order to see the comedy acts, the jugglers, the magicians, the fire-breathers, and the freakshow acts that don’t have a place anywhere else. They provide you something different, something exciting, and something that can actually be life-changing. Many of these circus acts make a career out of traveling with what they do, and this show makes that easier even if the vast majority of the time it’s clear that they aren’t going to win.

This news Britain’s Got Talent 2017 promo really does hype up the sense of fun that you get from some of the variety acts. Do you remember the old mousetrap game where every little thing you do sets off a chain reaction? That’s what this promo feels like as we bounce from one camp act to the next to the next before Ant and Dec go on stage, not realizing that they forgot their pants. Then, David Walliams gives them his golden buzzer because … well, David Walliams. We get an unusual amount of joy out of David trolling the judges every year by giving his buzzer to some act that really doesn’t have any business being in the live shows.

We don’t really anticipate many changes to the show this year — the same judges and the same hosts are there! The only thing that is different this time around is that you’re going to get a chance to see some different talent, likely from all of the globe, try to impress and win over the public. It’s one of our favorite shows to cover, so it really goes without saying that we’re chomping at the bit to get back into covering this again.
