Is NCIS season 14 episode 19 new tonight? First look at Bruce McGill

It would be wonderful to dive into a great case on CBS … but alas, NCIS season 14 episode 19 is not new tonight on CBS. If there was a good metaphor for the way that the network chooses to program this season, it would be a long, 24-course meal. They don’t want to give you all of the food at once, since that could lead to over-indulging. Also, that makes every individual dish start to lose its identity and memorability.

Also, there’s of course the production side of things. If NCIS aired a new episode every week, there would be no way for the show to have all of the episodes done in time unless they started filming a couple of months earlier than they do. CBS likes to keep the show on the September – May schedule, and we don’t see that changing, either. Hiatuses here and there are the only way to make that happen.

If you really do want to get your NCIS fix, rest assured that there are currently repeats scheduled for tonight. We wondered at some point if there would be NCAA Basketball tearing the show off of the air, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

So what we’re going to do for the remainder of the article is preview “The Wall,” the next new episode that is airing one week’s time. The image below is your first look at Rizzoli & Isles alum Bruce McGill in the episode, who will play a man very integral to the story. He ends up helping the team solve a murder case, but does so after being at first rather reluctant to help. The title for this episode is also significantly, and is likely a reference to the Vietnam War Memorial. McGill’s character is on the show in a way to highlight the Honor Flight Network, an organization who helps to transport military veterans to Washington DC in order to reflect on the time in which they spent serving the country overseas. Hopefully, we’ll see in “The Wall” a great case, but then also a story that raises some awareness for a great cause to go along with it.
