The Walking Dead season 7 spoilers: Melissa McBride charts Carol’s journey
Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, McBride made it clear that even though it’s difficult for her, she has no other choice but to fight now that she knows the truth about what’s happened to Glenn and Abraham:
“I think she’s ready to fight … It’s painful. When Morgan asked if she got what she wanted, it’s kind of like, ‘No. I didn’t just get away from these people, I love these people. I wanted to get away from pain.’ So I don’t think the way she views it is any different, she’s just doing what she knows she has to do and she’s known that all along.”
We feel for Carol, but we almost always feel for Carol just because she’s arguably went through more than anyone in the entire series, and the pain isn’t going to probably ever end. There’s a part of us that wants to see her as the last person standing, but we could also envision her along the way being one of those characters who does end up giving her life for the means of protecting everyone else. She would be the sort of person who’d have an incredibly heroic death, no?
Now that we’ve said that … please don’t kill Carol. PLEASE don’t kill Carol. Maybe if we say it enough times, it will be like the anti-Beetlejuice and not come to pass.
There are three more episodes on The Walking Dead before season 7 is over, and we anticipate that you’ll continue to see the uprising along the way, and some further bodies fall in the process. For now, we suggest that you head over here to get a sneak peek for what is going to be coming on Sunday.
