Major Crimes season 5 spoilers: The beginning of two-part finale
The two-part story that is coming up will be entitled “Shockwave,” and according to TNT, we’re going to see a deadly murder investigation turn intense thanks to some trouble on the job. Captain Sharon Raydor is going to find herself having to square off with Winnie Davis in order to control the case. These sort of operational struggles are the last thing that you ever want to have to deal with while in the middle of a key investigation. You have to try and remember that the focus needs to be on the victim, and power struggles muddy up the picture.
Given that this is, as mentioned, the first of a two-part event, we do have to imagine that things are only going to get so much crazier from here.
As for what else you’re going to be able to see in this episode, be prepared for some tension on the Rusty / Gus front. We’re going to continue to root for the two of them to be together, but at the same time Rusty is going to get some “alarming” news from Gus. We cannot speak to what it is at present, but it could alter the course of their future. That’s depressing, mostly because the bond between the two of them was starting to get more and more strong over time.
New episodes of the show are going to continue to air on a weekly basis before we get around to “Shockwave (Part 1)” — after all, this one is not actually going to be airing until Wednesday, April 5. Here’s to hoping that it does end up being worth the wait. (For the record, you can preview the new episode airing on Wednesday night by heading over to the link here.)

I have yet to have this show not be worth the wait. I am really looking forward to the new format. I have always had a lot of fun with the longer ones and they ALWAYS kept me guessing!
