The Blacklist: Redemption: Ryan Eggold will return to The Blacklist season 4
In speaking on this subject to Entertainment Weekly, Eggold opens up about his return to the flagship show — not only that, but also whether or not we’re going to learn precisely what Liz and Agnes have been up to ever since the beginning the spin-off show:
“That is something that would be addressed on The Blacklist. I don’t know what [creator Jon Bokenkamp’s] plans are. I hope it is addressed. I don’t know what his plans are for how she’s doing with that. I can [say] that I did a scene with Megan [Boone] the other day for Redemption, so we saw each other on this show, which is very fun because they hadn’t seen each other in so long. They’re bonded by both their relationship and their child together, so there was a lot of weight in there, and they’re reconnecting. They’re missing the person for the first time in a long time. I know that I am going back to Blacklist for at least one episode toward the end of the season. I don’t know when that is yet, but that relationship will be explored on Blacklist again later this season. It will definitely be present, it won’t just go away.”
Ultimately, these shows in one way or another are going to remain linked, and if they both do come back for another season, we have a feeling that it will stay that way. It’s pretty darn hard to imagine that Tom and Liz’s worlds would completely separate for as long as they are together and trying to parent Agnes … though with that being said, that baby’s been through more over the past season than most people have in their entire lives.
