Criminal Minds season 12 episode 17 spoilers: Can the BAU keep Reid safe?
Below, take a look at some of what you can expect to see over the course of the hour.
Criminal Minds season 12 episode 17 synopsis – “The BAU believes two unsubs may be operating at the same time, when victims killed in two drastically different ways are discovered in the same city. Also, the team grapples with keeping Reid safe in prison.”
This episode is going to have two different arcs once again going at the same time, which is something that most people should be rather familiar with at this point given the fact that they’ve done this a few times now with the Reid story. The big question with that is when we could see him get out of jail, and if or when that happens, what does it mean for his future. We’ve all heard the expression many times over now that jail changes people, so the larger question within the scope of this specific show is how jail changes Spencer. Hopefully, this is something that we get a further sense of within the next several weeks. (After tonight’s episode, Reid needs some serious assistance.)
No matter what happens, you can at least know that there is some time left in order to resolve the story. Specifically, we’re talking about six episodes. We know that one of them will feature the return of Jane Lynch, and the season finale could very well set the stage in some capacity for what’s coming during season 13. The season 11 finale “The Storm” did a great job of that, even though it could not predict some of the other changes that came following it during season 12 production.
