Longmire season 6: How to make Walt and Vic endgame

Walt and Vic -Mrs. Carter: Is there a future for Walt and Vic on Longmire season 6?

We do understand that at its core, the Netflix series is really not a romance. This is not something that they are looking to prioritize, and we understand that. There is no point in trying to change the genre at this point, and we wouldn’t want them to. This is a show more about atmosphere, about a way of life, and about relationships in general. Some of these relationships are individual, whether it be the friendship between Walt Longmire and Henry Standing Bear, or some of them are more on a macro level. See, the relationship between the reservation and the government, or the relationship between nature and the industrial complex.

For the sake of this article, though, we do want to get into romantic prospects and the story of Walt and Vic. They’re the two central characters, and there have been times when the undertones are most clearly there. Take, for example, the start of season 4 when Vic was ready to make a move with her boss. There were whispers near the end of the season, and there have been whispers ever since. There have also been many setbacks … if you want to even use that word. It’s more that there have been some other relationships being explored. For Walt, he had a relationship with Donna Sue that went through ebbs and flows in season 5, and it’s difficult to see where things lie or if they’ll lie anywhere moving forward.

The larger question remains with Vic, who went through a romantic whirlwind with both Eamonn and Travis as she went through a part of her first pregnancy. The show committed and followed through with it in the finale. It’s still not clear precisely if we’re going to see this baby born in season 6 or have it already being a part of the world thanks to a time jump; it’s also not clear if either Travis or Eamonn will even be around.

How do you get Walt and Vic together?

So much of it stems at this point from Walt and a willingness on his part to actually admit to the presence of feelings, something that to date has hesitated to do. Instead, he’s been far more fine with allowing her to flutter in the wind. We know that for Walt, emotional connections and expressions of one’s feelings do not come easy. Maybe it is the added responsibility that Vic will have with a child that causes Walt to think differently, or it is the presence of other suitors.

Or, maybe it is something different from Vic that serves as the impetus towards him plotting out his future. Remember for a moment or two here that he is at his own crossroads with his job on the line. If he keeps it, he may feel an increased sort of value and appreciation for it. If he doesn’t, he may still realize the value and power of living in the moment.

In the end, though, patience may be a virtue more than at any other point. If they are to have that moment of the two of them coming together romantically, it is difficult to envision it happening before the midway point in the final season 6.
