Call the Midwife season 7: Premiere date hopes for Helen George series
Before anything else, we should start things off here by simply reiterating that there will in face be a Call the Midwife season 7. The folks over at the BBC first renewed the show many months ago, and for several more seasons, in fact! This makes sense without putting too much thought into it. This remains one of their most-popular franchises, it pulls the heartstrings, and there is no requirement that it has to have the same cast for the entirety of its run. The main character on the series really is Nonnatus House as much as it is anyone else, and the show can progress so long as it is there. It’s without that setting that we start to feel that there is no more show anymore.
With that being said, we obviously want Helen George, Charlotte Ritchie, and many other familiar faces to remain on the series for as long as possible.
Now, in getting to possible Call the Midwife season 7 premiere dates. The first thing that you do need to remember here is that the series is going to have once again a Christmas Special airing later this year. That is a tradition that has done the show well in terms of the ratings and publicity, and as a result of that, it’s hard to see them straying all that much from it. Beyond that, we do imagine that season 7 will premiere at around the same time that so many past season shave: January. You know the expression of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?” That certainly applies here, since this is a show does very well already in terms of what it brings to the table.

If there is one thing that will probably make the wait feel especially long until the show returns, it’s likely the sole fact that the show rarely gives a whole lot of insight into what’s coming up during its filming months. Maybe you will hear one or two little tidbits, but for the most part this is a series that does keep its cards relatively close to the vest.
